Marry Me

Tomorrow I will have been married for one month... That seems crazy to say. Our wedding was the wedding of my dreams. So many people worked hard to make this day special for Jeff and I. We are very thankful for all of them.

I am so happy to be married to this handsome man. He's my best friend and I'm so glad I get to spend the rest of my life with him.

I'm beyond thankful for these girls who stood by my side. Some of them came on Thursday and didn't leave my side until Jeff and I were getting in the car to drive away. They all helped in so many ways leading up to that week though and every single one of them have played an important part in my life.

My parents made this day as special as they possibly could. I love them so much & I'm pretty sure they are the best parents around. Thank you for raising me and preparing me for this day.

And there is of course my brothers... They are crazy but I wouldn't want them any other way. I'm so glad they could play their part at our wedding.

There are so many more people who helped some of them took these pictures, some of them held babies so that somebody could take these pictures, some of them ran around during the ceremony catching things that were flying off reception tables because of the wind, some played music, some of them made pies and cakes, and some of them built me doors so I would have some to walk through. We really are so blessed. Thank you to everyone. We love you all!

Just 19 Days to Go

The wedding is getting closer. So close that I know it's going to be here before I know it. I just have one week of classes left, then finals, and then wedding week. That's 3 weeks that are going to fly by quicker than any other week because they are going to be crazy busy. I'm so excited but also a little scared. Mostly because I have school and tests I still need to take care of before I can totally focus on the wedding. In three weeks my life is going to change a lot. I'm going to be married and I don't think I can get my brain to fully understand that. It probably wont until I'm walking down the isle. I am so excited though. If I said everything that was going through my head right now this would be a very long blog... so I just some sum it up in a few thoughts.

I'm so happy to get to marry this guy. He's so great to me and I love him dearly.

I'm so thankful for gifts we have already received. Our house is going to be well stocked.

I am also thankful for the many friends and family members who have helped put together our showers these past few weeks. I feel so loved and I love you all dearly. I have some amazing people in my life.

I Can Hear the Bells

Over the past couple of weeks I've really started to realize that I'm getting married. First thing to start it off was that Jeff and I started premarital counseling. Later on that same week Jeff and I went and looked at a house to rent and this past weekend we paid the deposit on it.

This is our cute little house
It was hard having to make decisions about a budget for the future. Decide what we can afford before we're really there. I guess being a grown up is hard. Anyways, Jeff will move in there next month. I told him it was fine if he moved in there before me as long as he didn't try and decorate without me. There will be no hanging up random things wherever he can find a spot.

In the past week I have also worked on wedding decorations with Laura, addressed invitations with my mom, and gone to my first dress fitting (during that I also got to see Ky pick her dress!). So not only do I hear the wedding bells for me but also my three other friends who are getting married this summer. These next few months are going to be exciting and full of beautiful brides : )

Beautiful Things

This past week has been really fantastic. When talking to my friends last night about our highs and lows of the week I really couldn't think of a low. I mean I had to write two papers and missed some homework but that didn't really hurt my week overall. Friday night I got to see one of my best friends get engaged. I was so happy to be a part of that evening. Laura, Lauren, and I worked all afternoon trying to make that little roof just how Chase wanted. I think they were happy with it since he could hardly get Kyler to come down to her surprise party haha.

Aren't they precious?
Kaleb took these fantastic pictures for them.

Kyler, me, Lauren, and Laura after the proposal.
Kyler has been my roomie (or housie really) for about two years now. She is wonderful and I love her to death. After Chase and Ky get married in July they're moving off to Washington (yes, the state) to serve at a church plant there. I know this couple can do awesome things for Jesus and I can't wait to hear all about it! I'll miss her and all my other friends as we start to go off and start our new lives. I know God can use us all to do some big things though. So as long as they don't forget about me or forget to tell me about these big things it will all work out. Life is changing but it will be for good :)

Long Time No See

Well it's been about a year since I last wrote. I don't really know why I stopped probably just being really busy and it could also be that fact that I forgot my password.. Anyways, I thought for this first blog back I might take a trip down memory lane and hit the highlights of this past year in pictures.

I learned how to make a pie!
(Ignore my weird hair clip and goofy smile)

I had an amazing time in Belize. I miss these boys!

I got engaged! <3

To this amazing man :) I love him so much. May 19, 2012!

I worked at Camp WOW and in the words of my mom got
"Tan and muscled-up" I also met some of the
most amazing people ever.

These girls would be some of those people.

Then lastly I went on a road trip to Nashville, Tn
with my dear cousin Jessica!

2011 was a good year full of a lot of changes. I look forward to 2012 and what God has for me! I hope that I'll be able to keep y'all up to date as I go through this year and what will soon be my first year of marriage!

So little time so much to do, I'd like to spend one day with you.

It's been a couple weeks but folks I did survive the Snowpocalypse. Life has been crazy. I'm not really even sure what all I have been doing. Trying to get everything done before I go to Belize. It all kind of feels like a blur.

I got to sing some love songs with my man at Valentine's Open Mic Night

Singing Kiss Me and Wouldn't It Be Nice

Then we got to have our actual Valentine's Day Date. Dinner at Rib Crib (yum) and a movie at the house. We watched Life As We Know It. It was pretty funny.

My hott date

The sweet gifts he got me. That's a Build a Bear.
I've wanted one all my life.

After Valentine's Day is pretty much where everything becomes a blur. Since then I've mostly just been doing homework none stop trying to get everything done that needs to be turned in before I go to Belize.

I've been working on my pie crust demonstration.
This one only made me cry a couple times.

Put up my 2nd display. Complete with chicken wire
 and 50,000 cut out chickens.
Then on top of that I've been doing whatever other random homework I get assigned and trying to figure out how I'm going to prepare a demonstration, write two research papers, and study for test all before I go to Belize, which is sneaking up fast! I'll figure it out somehow though. Well wish me luck as I try and survive these next two weeks! Hopefully I'll make it out alive.

P.S.

To all you teachers out there please know the difference between a quiz and a test. Don't fleetingly mention the "quiz" we'll have next week when really you meant a 50 + question test over a chapter we haven't even discussed. Not cool teacher, not cool.

Snowpocalypse 2011

So far I have only been to class one day this week. It's been a nice little break. Last week I was getting a little overwhelmed with all the homework so I needed a little rest time. I have taken advantage of the extra time and gotten a little homework done and I'm going to do more this afternoon. It's hard to make yourself do homework though when there's a never ending chick-flick marathon going on at your house. There's a total of 10 girls living in our house this week. It's been fun :) Every couch and bed is full.

The snow outside can also be a little distracting. Tuesday was my snow day. I don't really have snow clothes with me here so I got cold fast but I did go out for a little while.

This is Kim with the snow in front of the UC

This is Kim crashing over the snow
in front of the UC

About to go on our first run down the hill

It was also my last. After this crash
my pants were soaking wet and I was cold.

The boy and I headed back in after
our snow adventure. I haven't been trapped
too much because of this boy and his big truck.

It's been a good week. Full of Disney movies, late night board games, sleeping in, and Just Dance. Now today I need to focus on getting ahead on some homework. But one last picture before I go.

The roomies and I braved Walmart Monday
night. This was the bread isle. Insane.
